Volunteer Opportunities 2008-2009

• FriendRaiser “Fiesta with Friends” Leadership Team – The FriendRaiser is our biggest and most anticipated event of the year.  Help support our work by engaging companies and your friends in this fantastic May fiesta!
• Lead a Drive – Help us collect items for our Achievers and their siblings by organizing a drive and get friends and coworkers or your company to donate winter clothing, holiday and birthday gifts, or books and games. 
• Host a Young Professionals Event – Host a small fundraising even to benefit Friends-Boston where young professionals can come out and socialize and learn about our organization.
• Family Friends Program – This program is an opportunity to engage a family in a meaningful relationship with an Achiever who needs additional financial and emotional support. A minimum of two outings per year are required. A two-year commitment is required along with a $1,200 donation to Friends-Boston. 7 slots available beginning in January.
• E-Mentoring Buddies – e-Mentors correspond with Achievers through email and share interests, advice etc. One email per month is required, although more is encouraged. A one-year commitment is required along with a $200 donation to Friends-Boston. 12 slots available beginning in January.
